MISSION STATEMENT

LABOURERS OF THE HARVEST CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP is committed to empowering and perfecting the body of Christ and restoring God’s People to a right relationship with Him through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

VISION STATEMENT

LABOURERS OF THE HARVEST is a fellowship of Christian believers founded on the Biblical authority of the Word of God.  We seek the deliverance, healing, and restoration of God’s People – to empower and perfect them to live an abundant life according to His Word and His Will.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the only infallible, authoritative Word of God, given by inspiration as God's revealed word to mankind.  It is the standard rule of faith and conduct by which any revelation or guidance (personal or corporate) must be tested (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

We believe that there is only one True and Living God who is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent.  He is the Creator of all things and has chosen to manifest Himself to mankind as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Genesis 1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10-11; 1 John 5:7).

We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, as the only begotten Son of God and son of man.  We believe in His incarnate conception by the Holy Spirit; His birth by the Virgin Mary; His sinless life, His miracles, His crucifixion and atoning death; and His bodily burial, resurrection and ascension into heaven at the right hand of God the Father (John 1:1-2, 14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31-35; Luke 3:22; Hebrews 12:2).

We believe that man is a sinful being in need of redemption from the condemnation and power of sin (Genesis 1:26-31, Genesis 3:1-7; Psalm 51:5), and that the redemption and salvation of mankind through justification by the atoning blood of Jesus is the only solution for man’s sin problem (Romans 3:10,23-26; Romans 5:8-9; Romans 6:23; Titus 2:11-14).

We believe that for the salvation of the lost and sinful man, regeneration of man by the Holy Spirit (i.e., New Birth) is absolutely essential (Luke 24:47; Romans 10:13-15; 2 Corinthians 2:15; Ephesians 2:8-9).

We believe that Salvation of Sinful Man is available to all who exercise faith in Jesus Christ:  through repentance from sin, through acceptance by faith of Jesus Christ as both Lord and Savior (John 3:16‑21; Romans 10:8-13,17; Colossians 1:12-19), and through the progressive process of Christian living, as we abide and walk in the light of His presence (1 John 1:7-9; 1 John 2:3-6).

We believe in Sanctification through the Word of God and by the Power of Holy Spirit to make us one flesh, one body and one bread with God himself.  We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, as an indwelling presence and supernatural power, that unites a Christian with the very life of God and enables us to live a holy life (Romans 8:5; Philippians 2:12,13; 1 Thessalonians 4:1‑4, Hebrews 2:11).

We believe in the One Baptism of God by the Spirit into Christ and His Body (1 Corinthians 12:13), signified with water baptism by immersion.  We believe in the Baptism by Christ in the Holy Spirit (which is distinct from the New Birth), as well as speaking with tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance, the gifts of the Spirit and the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit. We believe that all of this is available to all believers who ask for it (Joel 2:28; Mark 16:16-17; Acts 2:4).

We believe the Redemptive Work of Christ on the Cross includes provision for divine healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer and through faith in the Name of Jesus Christ (Isaiah 53:4,5; James 5:14,15; 1 Peter 2:24).

We believe in the personal, imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13‑18).  We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost:  the saved to everlasting life and the lost without Christ to everlasting damnation (Matthew 24:31-46; Acts 24:15; Revelation 22:11).
